Welcome, and thank you for choosing Lapland Planning Co. These Terms of Service ("Terms") explain the rules for using our website, downloading our free resources, and buying our digital guides. By using our site or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms. Please read them — we've kept them as plain and friendly as we can.

1. Who we are

Lapland Planning Co. We are a digital travel-guide business based in Finland that creates educational planning resources for people visiting Finnish Lapland.

2. What we sell

We sell digital products — travel-planning guides delivered as downloadable PDF files. We also offer free resources (such as the Lapland Starter Kit) in exchange for signing up to our email list.

Our guides are educational planning resources. They are based on more than 35 years of local experience, but they are information, not a booking service, and not professional advice. See section 7.

3. Buying and payment

• Prices are shown in euros (€) and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

• Payments are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.

• Your order is confirmed once payment is successfully completed.

• We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to refuse or cancel an order in the rare case of an obvious mistake, fraud, or a problem with payment.

4. Delivery and access

• Our guides are instant digital downloads. After your payment is confirmed, you'll receive access to your file(s) — by download link and/or email — right away.

• Please make sure your email address is correct at checkout. If your files don't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam or Promotions folder, then email us and we'll help.

• You are responsible for downloading and saving your files. We recommend saving them to your device so you can read them offline during your trip.

5. Right of withdrawal and refunds

Because our products are digital files that you can access and download immediately, special rules apply.

Immediate access and waiver of the 14-day withdrawal right. Under EU consumer law you normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content supplied immediately, this right can be waived. By completing your purchase, you request immediate access to the digital files and expressly acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once the download begins. This is why our digital sales are final.

Our refund promise. We want you to be happy with what you buy. While digital purchases are non-refundable as standard, we will always put things right if something is genuinely wrong. Contact us at info@laplandplanningco.com and we'll help — for example if:

• a file is faulty, corrupted, or won't open;

• you were charged incorrectly or more than once; or

• you never received access to a product you paid for.

We handle these fairly and case by case. This does not affect any rights you have under mandatory local consumer law.

6. How you may use our guides (licence)

When you buy a guide, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for your own trip planning. You may:

• read it on your own devices and print a copy for personal use.

You may not:

• resell, share, forward, distribute, or publish the files or their contents;

• reproduce or republish substantial parts of a guide (online or offline); or

• use our content for commercial purposes.

All content — text, layout, images, and design — remains the intellectual property of Lapland Planning Co. and is protected by copyright.

7. Educational information — not a guarantee

Our guides are designed to help you plan with confidence, but they are general educational information, not professional, legal, medical, financial, or safety advice, and not a substitute for official sources.

In particular:

• Nature can't be promised. No one can guarantee you will see the Northern Lights, specific weather, snow conditions, or wildlife.

• Details change. Prices, opening times, tour offerings, transport, rules, and entry requirements change and vary by provider. Always check current, official information before you book or travel.

• You make the decisions. You are responsible for your own travel choices, bookings, insurance, safety, and compliance with local laws and conditions.

We are not responsible for third-party services (such as tour operators, airlines, or accommodation) that you book based on general information in our guides.

8. Email and privacy

If you sign up for a free resource or buy a product, we'll add you to our email list and may send you helpful, relevant emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. How we handle your data is explained in our Privacy Policy

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lapland Planning Co. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use of our guides or website, or from travel decisions made based on our content. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the "last updated" date above. Changes do not affect purchases you already completed.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, and any disputes are subject to the competent Finnish courts, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you in your country of residence.
